Competitive pricing and tailored incentives make home ownership possible

May Brown kitchen The Mill by My MFH Case Study 150x150 Fairview helps first time buyers With the estimated average age for first time buyers now at 38 and rising property prices in most areas of the UK, it is apparent that young people need all the help they can get to make that first step onto the property ladder. Fairview New Homes currently have developments that are specifically targeted towards first time buyers.

These new homes help people step onto the property ladder by providing good quality apartments and houses at low prices, as well as flexible and meaningful incentives. Many of the homes currently available are also under £250,000, meaning first time buyers do not have to pay stamp duty.

Jim Holliday, Sales Director of Fairview New Homes, comments: “With property prices rising for five months in a row, the average UK house now costs £205,598[1]. Unfortunately, the price increases have hit the lower end of the market most severely, with an average of a 12.6%[2] rise in the past twelve months on homes bought by first time buyers.

“At Fairview, we aim to provide high quality new homes at the most competitive prices on the market. The most important thing is that we give people what they need, which is housing they can afford, whether this be a one-bedroom apartment or a four-bedroom house.”

Examples of Fairview developments include Pembroke Park in Crawley, where buyers can purchase a one-bedroom apartment from just £139,000, and the new Evolution in Ashford, where two-bedroom apartments are priced from £126,995 and four-bedroom houses from £196,995.

For first time buyers, Fairview often tailor their incentives on a case by case basis, taking into account the specific requirements of the individual. More generally, first time buyers can take advantage of a range of incentives, from help with deposits to designer furniture packages and free 50” plasma screen televisions.

Young homeowners step onto the property ladder

May Brown, 21, bought her first property at The Mill in South Darenth. Her  two-bedroom home cost her £145,000. She says: “When I started looking for an apartment it was harder than I expected as there wasn’t much available within my price bracket. But when I looked at the prices for new homes at The Mill I was pleasantly surprised – it was something I could finally afford!”

Prices at The Mill start from £149,995 for a one-bedroom apartment and £265,000 for a three-bedroom house.

Imogen Church, 31, was able to step onto the property ladder with her two-bedroom new home at Pembroke Park in Crawley for £175,000. She says: “I went to see an apartment at Pembroke Park and was thoroughly impressed by the quality and finish. The development suits me perfectly as I own 100% of the property and benefit from the services to the block. My new apartment is spacious and on the top floor – I really feel that I ended up with my dream home.”

Prices at Pembroke Park start from £139,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.
